Krnica

Surrounded by forests, pastures and vineyards, the village of Krnica lies along the eastern coast of Istria, about 25 km from the largest town on the peninsula, Pula.

Krnica is located on the elevation above the sea and surrounded by beautiful forests, pastures and vineyards. Krnica is the only village in Istria with its own port. A 2.5-km-long road running through the pine forest will take you to the Krnica Port where you will see a fishing village with wooden boats, nets and stone houses. The beaches are rocky and there are small coves scattered along the entire Krnica channel offering the pleasure of untouched nature and the crystal clear sea.
Krnica is an ideal place for vacation. In spring you can pick wild asparagus, aromatic and healing herbs here, whereas in the fall you can pick mushrooms, grapes, olives, enjoy the landscape or simply take a walk. Watching the sunrise at the Krnica Port, you can welcome the fishing boats surrounded by flocks of seagulls and buy the freshly caught fish.
Krnica is part of the Marčana municipality, while the small port of Krnica is its coastal extension, where guests can taste the specialties made from freshly caught prawns and fish. There are several picturesque villages nearby, including Rakalj.
